Intranet Hear hear readers (ISBN 978 0 9556358 2 3) allows learners to work at their own pace at a computer workstation. The controls are very simple to use. Learners can choose a story, choose different voices, choose whether to read, listen or listen and read. They can choose to repeat as often as they need. There is an option to print the text of the story to take away. The stories are ideal for Pre Entry to Entry 1 adult ESOL learners. They are designed to allow learners to move from recognising individual words to reading sentences. The stories are simple but fun to read and reinforce a lot of regular phonic patterns. |
