Hear more readers are sold with unlimited rights to copy for educational use by the purchaser. Price £64.00 excluding VAT.
The package consists of a data CD with all text documents produced in MS WORD together with 16 short audio cassettes in a presentation album. The recordings can be supplied on 2 audio CDs if preferred.
Hear more readers (ISBN 978 0 9546023 2 1) extends the range of beginners’ listen and read materials. The package supports the English national curriculum (ESOL/basic skills reading and listening) at Entry 1 to Entry 2 level.
Targeted at learners of English, each of the sixteen short readers features an additional English language focus which can be developed or not by the tutor to suit the needs of the learners. But above all else, the readers are independent listen and read resources designed to interest adults. Each reader with its accompanying cassette can be used to support reading groups and pairs or to extend individual and family study.
The readers are presented in a format that allows fast photocopying to A5 stapled booklets of a few pages each. They vary in length from around 300 to 900 words. Most of the readers are stories but there are also some recipes and non-fiction topics to add variety. Regular phonic patterns and common function words are repeated within the readers and from reader to reader.
Each cassette has two voices with slight regional accents reading the text (repeated on the second side).
